Solution: If you want to use headphones you can manually manage your volume levels by opening a shell using Ctrl+Alt+T and typing shell, then run alsamixer and change the levels manually. We have an internal task setup to investigate if we could make use of this change, but I imagine you won't see any movement on this until we decide to do a kernel upgrade, and even then there's no guarantee this would be 100% compatible with CRAS. I took some time to diagnose the issue and was unsuccessful, but from what I saw there have been some upstream changes (linked below) that may resolve the issue in future releases. The brightness even when using the f6 - f7 keys or fn with f5 or f6 does not change the brightness, it shows a meter moving and will go up or down but the actual brightness of the screen stays the same. Both releases did not solve this brightness issue at all. I have additionally tried both the beta channel and the dev channel releases as well. I am running CloudReady Home Edition 64.4.36 (Developer Build - neverware) developer-build chromeover64 the stable build. (Another issue can be lived without: Headphones do not turn off speakers and additionally do not play sound through them either. There are only two hiccups I have run into since installing this OS on it and there is one that I absolutely can't live without: Brightness does not adjust using hotkeys or setting them manually in shell. I am thoroughly impressed with it and I am glad it is here and that it works on my ASUS T100TA Transformer tab. I know you are all hard at work and I appreciate all that you do and make happen for this operating system.
